Stephen Beauparlant, Vice President & Chair of Grants
Stephen Beauparlant, PhD was born and raised in Lewiston Maine. He obtained a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Microbiology from Penn State, followed by a Doctorate in Molecular Biology and Genetics from Temple University. After his studies, he and his family moved north closer to his roots and after some aggressive house hunting, settled in Salem. He currently works as a Director of Operations for a biotech company in Cambridge.
Steve has been active in Salem Schools and education, first as a part of the WHES PTO and then as a candidate for School Committee. He has been involved as a coach and officer in Salem Youth Soccer for 7 years and counting. His father, a teacher of over 40 years, passed on his love of learning and fostering a clear support for the public education system. As a member of the Salem Education Foundation, Steve can further encourage and support this in others. Steve is the current Vice President and the Chair of the SEF Grants Committee.
